I just have to say that I haven't given the regular challenges much love this week while I was juggling DTGD with the rest of life, but this color combo is my heart. I just love it! These colors speak to me in my soul and I had to play!
It was fun combining one of my retro (favorite) stamps and favorite technique (Paper Piecing) with new embellishments and tools. When this mousie made his debut I had no punches (and very few were available). Framelits were unheard of and if we had heard of them we would have scoffed at spending that much money on a tool just for paper arts. Baker's twine wasn't a thing--unless you happened to have some baker's twine from Mike's Pastry's or something and then you would certainly upcycle it to your cards because who could waste something like that?? Oh, and eyelets. Anybody remember those noisy things? I had to put some eyelets. The linen thread is a classic and has been in my stash almost as long as the mouse.

Just the coolest colors and card...even eyelets. I think this was such a fun card to make. I like that colorful twine.

More lovely twine!! And I am smiling, because I bought that set for one stamp only - this little mouse, and when I purged the rest of them, I held onto the medicine bottle too - even though the label on it is totally double-Dutch to anyone here. The mouse has always been a favourite, lovely to see him here in those rich autumn colours.

So cute! And you get bonus points for stamp set selection! ;) I always love seeing this color combo! You've done it justice! Thanks for playing my challenge!
I have not had home internet service for several days, coupled with sketchy cell service. My apologies for delayed reactions. I've been keeping up with gallery viewing, but commenting was virtually impossible. Truly appreciate your participation here at Splitcoast! Have a great day!
