I've always loved pictures of cats sitting on a window sill and observing Their World. I had been reading a book that had a pretty quirky cat in it...and I thought "Why not?". Another chance to use my "This Old House" paper that jumped into my hand at the store. This has a "velvet" gray cat, in memory of my Grandcat Joey. I really like the SU brick paper because the size of the bricks goes so well with the size of the window. I used foam tape to make the top and sill of the window stand out. To do the potted plant I used Tacky glue to attach the bottom and a small drop to attach the middle of the sprig. Then I cut a pot for the sprig out of scrap. I put a thin strip of double stick tape on the backside of the bottom of the pot. Then I curved the top of the pot with my fingers and attached two small narrow strips of single sided adhesive tape, each folded in half (non-stick sides together), with the fold against each outer side of the top of the pot and the loose ends folded in toward the center. I stuck the base of the pot to the brick, gently pushed the top of the pot together so it would look like an actual open pot rather than just one-dimensional with a big lump of sprig trying to poke through the paper. I then used a toothpick to adhere the loose tape ends to the brick so it covered the base of the sprig. I know...a little anal......actually a lot anal. Sorry about that. But I thought I'd share this in case anyone wanted to get up tight about making a card. DH thinks I need therapy....but this IS therapy. I just realized it took longer to figure out how to describe adhering this simple little pot than to actually make and attach it. Anyway, thanks for looking.
