This is for the world famous LuvLee aka Lee. Lee is a huge contributor here at SCS and makes the most gorgeous CAS cards. Unfortunately hand surgery has Lee sidelined for a while. I hope our sparkly cards bring some sunshine and smiles to Lee.
I have several fairy stamps and strangly enough not many of them are smiling. Perhaps flittering around the world, sprinkling fairy dust and wearing next to nothing, is not as much fun as one would have thought. I have a fairy that looks like she has a broken foot and another that looks like she has a drinking problem.
My favourite fairy stamp is on loan while I borrow her Crazy Bird stamps so I tried putting a sling on a crazy bird depicting Lee's recovery. I added sparkles and a little tiara, even a wand, but it was still too weird - even by my standards.
This little fairy doesn't look too happy, perhaps because she doesn't have legs or she has just heard that Tim Holtz has brought out another bright blue ink pad......has that man got something against dark blue or maybe a few more shades of purple!! I digress, the fairies costume and hair were done with Derwent Inktense pencils.
Have a terrific week everyone and thank you for looking.

She may not be smiling but she is gorgeous! Your coloring on that dress is beautiful. I love the background and the stamping and the dusty pinks on this one! Beautiful card, Susie. Oh and thanks for the chuckle on the blue pads. It's true, too.

I am with you on the Purple Ink Pads - you can never have enough of that colour. This is a pretty dainty little fairy - even if she isn't smiling - coloured in those lovely dusty pink colours and the dash of sparkle on her wings.

I think she isn't smiling because her wings are too small...humans have boob jobs, but I don't think there are wing jobs for fairies. You did such a gorgeous job coloring her that she should be smiling. I love the checkers. Into my favs.

LOVE the coloring on this one, Susie!! The honeycomb backgrounds and all the little doodlings at the top of your card give it such interest, even if this little faerie doesn't seem to be too happy, we teapotters certainly love seeing all the ideas you come up with to distinguish your cards. Love the sponged colors - very pretty!!
I say, give the faerie a "wing job" - it is only fair - then maybe she will be smiling again!!

Loved your write-up as much as your card, Susie. That's one very elegant fairy, beautifully dressed in her pink gown. The stencilling and little white flecks on it are super. I'm laughing at Francie's idea of a wing job.

I know it is not politically correct to comment on you own card, but Francie, Greenie and Sabrina are right ......fairy needs a wing job. I knew there was something wrong with her LOL.

Super pretty! She is beautiful even without a smile and I love how you did the bg. I am with you all on the reason she may not be smiling - those wings would have to work extra hard to hold up that dress! LOL! Lovely!!! Hugz

Pretty stenciling on the bg Susie and love how you colored her dress, especially the gathered part! She is a beautiful little (big) fairy! She is probably sad because Lee is down and out for a while and she misses her fun cards! Yes, i'm sure that must be it!!
Wonderful as always mate! Say, did you notice that I was able to use that formula in my description for my ODBD card yesterday? Heehee, I was shocked to see it worked!

Susie, each card of yours is a work of art, good design, and a myriad of details to take in. Love thr mauve-y tones of this one with your pretty, delicate-looking fairy.

She is just not smiling as much as she is sad because Lee just had surgery, and cannot craft it a bit. But she sure is pretty. Love her pink outfit, and pretty soft bg...have a great day Susie and TFS...HUGS
