Peggy is our hostess this week, and she has selected the happy and bright Crushed Curry and Tempting Turquoise, with Smoky Slate coming along to tone things down a bit. Oops! I misread the colors and inadvertently substituted Bermuda Bay instead of Tempting Turquoise. Sorry!
The dessert option is to make a birthday card. This was perfect for me, as I need to make a card for my friend, Peggy (a different Peggy!) whoÂ’s having a birthday later this month. She is a friend from my east coast days, and I havenÂ’t seen her for several years. This November, sheÂ’s coming to visit, and weÂ’re going to Hawaii together! This little girl with her suitcase could not be more perfect! Oh, and notice that the bunny is wearing a matching outfit!
My card is pretty straightforward. I stamped the little girl and her bunny with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on X-Press-It Blending Card, ran them through my Silhouette Portrait to cut them out, and colored with Copic Markers. I used some of the dies from MFT Blueprints 12 to create the background panels and the little banner. Tinted some white embossing paste with a drop of gray reinker, and created the brick wall with the MFT small brick stencil, and cut that out (after it dried!), with a stitched rectangle die.
Thanks for stopping by, and please play along with us this week!

Such a sweet card, and I love the bricks behind the little girl! All your separate elements work so well together and I can't believe the bunny is wearing the same outfit! What a hoot, Barbara!

Super cute card, Barb! Great use of today's colors and what a great design. Don't you just love MFT stuff? The BP sets and all their dies, great stamps, everything they release is awesome.
