For Lydia's MIX129 Transference challenge. I'm glad I was able to finish this today, since I'm away from home all day tomorrow.
I started by taking an illustration from an old Kate Greenaway book, and applied 4 coats of Transferglaze, then left it for at least 2 hours to dry. After dinner I soaked it in warm water and rubbed all the paper off, then used more of the Transferglaze to stick it to a dictionary page. It has a summery feel, so I took a backgrounder, inked it with white and then sponged some pale blue gelato on to make sure I had at least another medium . Scored along the top, added a border cut from the same dictionary page and then went looking for a suitable sentiment - this one seems to fit the bill. I added the PB Queen Anne's Lace stamped along the bottom in Sepia just for a bit of extra interest. I'll definitely try this again - thank you, Lydia. It was much less hard on my fingers than last time I tried with a laser color copy!!

This transference technique really looks cool the way you did it - sounds like a lot of work involved - but the finished product is so worth the effort! Love the old book image and the added Queen's lace across the bottom!! Beautiful!
