This week our tea party is off to Amarillo, Texas. We are bringing words of encouragement to a lady dealing with some pretty hefty cancer issues. That d@#% "C" word again! We were to bring quilts and extra cookies for actual or faux sewing. So I used a fairly new die and cut my quilt border and pieces, and adhered to a WW mat. Then I pierced holes all around and used a white gel pen to draw lines between the holes (faux stitching). I then adhered this to my CB. I then stamped my sentiment in Momento Black, matted on the same green scrap paper as my quilt frame & popped it up over my quilt blocks. TFL ladies.

How lovely that you had the perfect die for this! Lovely "fabric" in your quilt, and your faux stitching looks just great. Trying to find my piercer!! I had it downstairs, I know I brought it back up but it evidently didn't make it back into the jar where it belongs. The sentiment is perfect with the quilt theme.

Gosh...thank you heartsong47 for thinking that I did real stitching on my card. I didn't.........it's done with piercing all those little holes and a white gel pen. But I faux stitched about as good as I do with real stitching. Used to be really good, but just haven't sewn for years and one gets out of practice!!! Hugs~

This is really lovely, Mary...your colors are so warm and cheery, just as a quilt should be. The sentiment of course is perfect! I love your faux stitches (I had to double check, they look real!!). Lisa will love this! Thank you so much for coming to her Teaparty. I hope that you got plenty of cookies - you earned them! Big hugs from NJ.
