This is my card for today's SC546. Cathy is our hostess and she provided a great layout for us.
To start my card today, I looked through my dsp and that determined the direction I went. I found this SU paper from the "confetti celebration" collection.
I pulled out my SU "four feathers" stamp set and decided to make a birthday card.
Stamped my feathers in crushed curry ink and added a corduroy button to complete that part of the sketch.
To finish off my card, I stamped a birthday sentiment on an angle between the feathers. The sentiment is from the "party this way" set and also added some Bermuda bay sequins.

...sure its got a catchy beat, but can you stamp to it?

It's no wonder that you head up the CC....you have a wonderful "color sense", Mary. Love the colors that you have combined here for a cheery b'day card with an emphasis on chevrons....even the feathers with their vanes and spines.

I like this card, Mary !! The bright colors and those wonderful yellow feathers are just great. Nice texture too with the sequins and the corduroy button.
Bright and cheerful! Love the way you angled the sentiment between your fantastic feathers. Your card is so fun and celebratory ... perfect for a birthday!
