This card seemed to fit the sketch design this week, with a few liberties that is. I hope that's okay.
I needed a card for neighbors who had moved out of their house for about 9 months while an addition to their house was being constructed and the rest of their house was also being renovated. They've also had it landscaped and added a little tree, too. While it is now the largest house on our street (a castle? lol), it is very good looking and we're very happy for them. They are wonderful and kind neighbors.
I found lovely inspiration at Sarah's blog Sazzle Dazzle Crafts and Sarah kindly said I could CASE her card. Sarah's card is so fun and I love her sandcastle and the use of it in her design, but alas I didn't have a sandcastle stamp and didn't want to spend $$ for one image. What to do? I'll draw my own. So off I went to search for images. This castle is a composite of many. I drew the castle and the tree very lightly with a pencil and after I was happy with it I went over it with a black waterproof pen and erased the pencil lines. It's not perfect but after all it is a fantasy house, lol. The images were colored with COPICS. Soft flower was applied to the tree. The sentiment was stamped on a banner using gold metallic ink and embossed with Translucent Gold E.P. and I added the little gold star sticker. I used Fun Foam for dimension on the card panel and clear adhesive squares on the banner.
If you're still with me, thank you so much for taking a look. I hope my card helps to inspire, too, as Sarah's did for me.

Who said an image needs a stamp behind it anyhow! When it can look this good with your drawing skills, I say just go for it! Lovely shading....beautifully colored! How sweet of you to think of them~
