Thanks for taking a peek at my Father's Day card. This one is for my husband who loves outdoor cooking. I call the technique used on this card EXTREME FUSSY CUTTING. lol It's actually paper piecing. You can't tell from the photo but everything was cut in very fine detail...even the tiny tongs in the bears hand were stamped, cut, colored and pieced in separately. I guess I was a glutton for punishment this morning when I made it. I decided to go with a funky layout for something different...just trying to break out of my box. The die in the background is one of the new TH mixed media dies. I cut it in white, then again in red and replaced the negative spaces in the white piece with that of the red. Was going for sort of an outdoor tablecloth look. Have a happy week - and a Happy Father's Day to all of the wonderful Dads out there!

Oh, Lisa, this is fabulous! I just popped in to see the gallery - and pow! I love all the extreme fussy cutting you did (I myself also love to do it and find it's so worth it). And I love the new DT die ... it really does give a feel of the checkered outdoor tablecloth. Fabulous and very out-of-the-box techniques! Your DH is going to LOVE this one! And your coloring is beautiful (and I am sure this will be a fave next week). Hugs!

A terrific card for your DH who really loves grilling. Great layout and format and your intricate cutting and coloring really are so well done. He will love it.
