Ok, this was a real challenge! Not sure why as I love the "Long Time Friend" set and have made lots with the other stamp. This was just harder to watercolor without it becoming "mud". Anyone else have the same problem? (I'm looking for sympathy here ;) ).
The ribbon is SU of course..just run the black gingham over a classic creamy caramel ink pad.
Not sure if I just plain overdid it..
Suggestions please!

This is very nicely done. It might have taken you time, but the looks of it answers the question,, it is worth the time. I enjoy working with this set also and it is fun if you like to color.

Thanks for everyone's positive comments. No blender pens here...I thought I would use them but if you have a light touch, the aquapainters actually work perfect for all jobs. I crayoned directly to the image, used the painters, and only went back in for darker shadows by touching the aquapainter to the crayon and putting in the accents. I also sponged around the edges a wee bit. The linen was put on last and it really tied everything together. Before I put it on, I didn't even like the watercolor and was going to throw it away. BUT, I am always telling my students that I like the challenge of turning a mistake into something that looks like it was meant to be so I thought I should follow my own advice. (tee hee) Glad I did since you all seem to think it works!
If I'm reading you right you stamped LTF and did all the coloring and then stamped the linen BG over everything? I'd never thought of that idea. Love the way that looks. Must give it a try.
