Had a leftover butterfly from my color challenge card earlier this week, so decided to put it to good use. Also made this card for our Free For All challenge (F4A277) that is to use the letters from JUNE in our card. After reading some of the other crafter's "very creative" use of the letters (Julie, of "Just Write Designs" - yours should get a prize for creativity! Love it.), I am not alone when I say these are a bit of a stretch: J = just one image, U= unusually plain background (usually I have to do SOMETHING more to dress up a card), N = nature, E=embossing.
Our colors (CC534) this week are Blackberry Bliss, Wisteria Wonder and Pool Party - Dessert: Stars (night/day/encouragement/congratulations/etc.)
Stamped this lovely sentiment, and then I embossed the butterfly in white, sponged the 3 colors (the wisteria and pool blended together, but they are both there, I promise), fussy cut it, and mounted with multi matte medium under the body only, dimensional tape under the wings. Scored a border around the frame of the card. No desert for me this time. Linking also to:

I love how your mind works, I am still laughing about Jill the bird too!! Maura, your 'J' and 'U' ingredients are a hoot too. Who would think such a funny write up would be associated with such an elegant and beautiful card.

Gorgeous! I really like the way you have mounted that butterfly and given it a 'ready to fly' appearance! The sentiment and your image are really meant for each other. Beautiful!

You tie with Julie for creative receipe letters. Your butterfly caught my eye right away. It is GORGEOUS and definitely should be on a simple card where it gets all of the attention. Into my favs.

Your card is beautiful. I think your "U" background makes it an awesome CAS card. The butterfly is soooooooo pretty.
