I was going for the faux tooled leather look. I embossed a so saffron panel, flipped over to use the debossed side. I swiped the caramel color ink like you would for the faux wood technique, I don't know why because it doesn't really show. Next, I sponged/swiped vintage photo and walnut stain. I rubbed a chunk of beeswax over the raised panel to give it an oiled leather look. Punched the three flowers from patterned paper, used a pom pom ribbon through the hole punched sentiment tag and wrapped it around the metal flower brad.

Oh yes - that's the perfect ef. I've used it for Western themes several times. I can imagine that the beeswax must give it a perfect leather finish. I love the way you've made such a pretty feminine card with the lace and flower, while still carrying off the Western theme so well.

Love this card....I almost used this ef for the leather technique. Great idea with the beeswax. The contrast of the flower and the leather is wonderful. Fav'd

You truly achieved the look of hand tooled leather for your background...EXQUISITE. With the lovely layered blossom you have given your card a feminine twist. Love the pom pom cord coming from the center for a fun touch.
