I stamped my images on some plain white card and coloured them with Couleur d'Art pencils. Then I sponged on some colour, and stamped Linen and French Foligae over the florals. Added the sentiment.
For the top layer, I sponged a dictionary page heavily with Vintage Photo, and also added a little colour on the reverse side. I tore out the centre and then rolled the edges round a fine knitting needle to give some dimension. I stuck this over the card front, then edged it with a leafing pen, added some metallic chunky EP and tied it with twine. To finish off I added a butterfly sticker - thank you, Francie!
Since I hadn't used these stamps before (part of my HYCCT prize) I'm tagging this for the USEIT2015 challenge. I didn't make a specific commitment for June, just trying to use various un-inked stamps.

I just love this... everything about this card is amazing. I was having "gallery withdrawal" since I have been busy helping my sister and didn't look at the galleries this week. What a gorgeous creation. The torn dictionary page turned out so well, and it is the perfect frame for your stamped image.

Looks like your butterflies and flowers are bursting through the hole in your rolled Dictionary page!! All the distressed inks and rolling, the glitter and twine, all make this look like a real vintage TREASURE!! LOVE this!!

I love the butterfly sticker...seems it could fly right off the page. The gold leafing is super and so is the card.

When I read your description, I wondered what it would look like. This is really cool! Perfect for vintage cards as you said. I just love everything about this....the wonderful background with the rolled edges. I love the dictionary page and how you sponged it. Love the image too and the linen look, splatters and beautiful butterflies.
