This started out as a quick and easy card. Needless to say, the final steps went haywire. I had this boat image, I colored a couple of years ago. I laid it out a couple of months ago waiting for the right challenge to use it on. Today was the perfect challenge, I just got out the hole punch and punched holes in the porthole windows. Piece of cake, right? Oops, this it a mix challenge, gotta add some "stuff". This is where it all went you know where in a hand basket. I decided to use liquid pearls in the holes. Ewwww, not such a good idea. I wiped it out with a paper towel. Maybe a better term would be smeared it out. Then I added
glossary accents. That helped but I could still see where I smeared the liquid pearls. I moved on to adding the stickles for the water.
On a positive note, this was a great way to use up some scraps. I only had to cut the orange piece of paper. The border was a scrap, too. I think I had tried to pleat it at one time because it had folds in it.
Okay, enough of my drama this morning. You all have a great weekend. I am off to decorate for some festivities that my daughter has planned here for tomorrow.

Very cute! The MIX aspect sure does make designing a card a little more challenging - at least for me. You rose to the challenge beautifully with this cute tugboat.

Your boat repairs were so successful that I can't even see where you had a problem!! - What a bright happy card - sure to cheer the recipient when you pull up in your boat with the patched portholes!!! LOL
