After seeing this on Pinterest from numerous contributors, I decided to make this with my class this week - only thing I did not have was a die to cut out the opening, so I had to measure it out and cut by hand. Stamped the fun image on smoky slate, mounted it behind the red frame, and embossed the happy birthday greeting, added the "knobs".
Fun card to make - do today's kids even KNOW what an Etch a Sketch is????? A great toy, but is it still popular??
Thanks for looking!

What a clever design! I LOVE this. Maybe this would have to go to an "oldster" since young people may not really know what it is huh? I do love the way you popped up the knobs! Kind of makes me want to find one and mess with it.

LOL. They even have mini ones for travel now.
This is great! I have a stamp of an etch a sketch but I have not been able to work it the way I wanted yet though it did send me on the "great search the RIGHT color of red ink" LOL
Yours came out SO much better!!!

Acck! This is great! I showed it to my daughter and she thought it was a picture of a real etch a sketch and you had drawn the picture. She was even more impressed when I said it was a card!! LOVE it!

Put this in my faves! I love the way this came out and the image is so darn cute. I think they are still around - I see them in the check out isles at Walmart as key chains and such. Fun, fun, fun card my friend. Hugz
