I can't ever do the simple....I need a bunch of graduation cards, but can't seem to just make them all the same design. I did make several using an inlaid technique mixing colors of diecut pieces in this week's colors. I decided on making a barn board look for behind a black piece that was left over. I used the faux wood tutorial from here.
For my wood piece-I began with Cabana and added ink using the direct to paper technique, layering the inks and swiping to make the wood look. I glued down my diecut and then stamped my sentiment. I decided I wanted some flowers. I started by stamping Cabana flowers on Cabana paper then punched the flowers around them. I used the stamp etching technique (Lydia's tutorial) to add more depth and then used my gel pen for a little sparkle.
