I am a Guest Designer over at Time Out Challenge Blog and this next challenge is a "Case with your own twist" challenge. We are CASEing a card by the oh-so-talented Deepti from Dee's Art Utopia. Here's the link to Time Out Challenge to see the card we are CASEing.
I liked Deepti's use of the patterned paper and a flower image that was more monochromatic. I embossed the Elements of Style stamp and then for a little more interest I sponged around the image with Calypso Coral ink. The sentiment (my new favorite for a wedding card) is embossed on a stitched die. Tore the pp before adhering, and sponged a bit of white pigment ink around the card edges.
*This also fits with our wildflower challenge (CAS326) and I just saw our new challenge (WT533), which is to use our favorite tools - one of mine has to be my embossing heat tool - I LOVE the look of embossing!

so pleased you are joining us at Time Out and what a wonderful CASE. I love the torn edge and the extra inking around the flowers in an inspired idea (I updated the link on our page above the card but the one above your photo goes to thee main gallery to gove everyone a chance to see all your cards!) Again, thanks for joining us.

this card is simply gorgeous... love the embossed sentiment and the angled torn edge of the dp...also love the lovely flowers and colour combo... well done...
What a brilliant CASE, Maura ... the monochrome palette is gorgeous ... love how you made those blooms pop with the sponged outlines ... so soft and delicate! Delighted to have you guest designing with us at Time Out! Anita

Maura this is so lovely. Love the torn edge, I too love heat emboss. I did it on my wedding invitations many years ago and still love it. Super case too!

I always love the look of white embossing - but have yet to try it. This has encouraged me to give it a go as it looks so good - specially when sponged around like you have done with this image.
