A big congrats to Brenda, the newest Featured Stamper! What a super gallery & such a super nice lady! I chose THIS card of hers to case. I kept the pocket w/ insert & birthday theme, but I used different images, different colors & I left off the cute kitty in her picture.
I made a crossover pocket card (it doesn't open), with an insert for the greeting. I had this green dp with flowers & glittered centers and I thought it would work well for the front of the pocket. I added a mottled orange dp & borders of the die cut Daisy Border. I used a portion of the Daisy Garden die for the faux belt across the front & added a glitter die cut buckle to finish the belt.
For the insert, I used a white die cut panel & cut the top off in order to add the Celebrate die cut on top. It was cut 4 times...2 sets of 2 glued together, then the panel sandwiched between the 2 sets. The cute little Daisy was stamped, colored & fussy cut it. After attaching it, I stamped the Special Day greeting over it & the big Happy Birthday below it. A couple of orange die cut corners were added to the lower edge.
Congrats again, Brenda! And a Happy Memorial Day! Closeups, measurements & detailed pics are on my blog: The Write Stuff
