Say "hello" to Polly. When I was finishing my card, I saw yesterday's challenge and was so excited to see May flowers! So this is for that challenge (thank you, Lisa, for a great challenge). And this is the new Power Poppy digital image that is available today. I was surprised by all the amazing colors of foxglove! I found one called "Polkadot Polly," sort of a peachy/apricot. So I colored the entire image along with the three darling bumblebees (who just love the nectar of foxglove!).
After coloring my image, I decided to use an oval die and added a mat and just had to pierce it (you know me, eh?). I used an embossed and matted background, added the oval, and then dyed a piece of sheer ribbon to match the colored card stock. I tied a bow, added a sentiment from one of my other sets (attaching it with dyed dental floss), and finally added it to my card base.
I really had fun making this card and have colored several other images to practice. Hope you like this one and will check out the rest of the amazing cards the team has made (and the Bloom Brigade joins us today because it's Friday). Thanks for taking a closer look, and have a wonderful weekend! Hugs!
More "chat" on my blog, along with the entire blog hop list.

It is always such a special treat when one of your gorgeous creations graces the gallery. I couldn't help noting the dental floss reference since I am a dental hygienist.... now when I offer a pack of floss to a patient and they say they do not use it, I can offer another idea other than it being good for hanging hummimgbird feeders. Such beautiful colors and I just love the bees.

Hello Ms. Cheryl! I cannot believe this is was colored with copics. You should be the advanced teach of copic coloring! What a gorgeous image to perfectly showcase your coloring. Love the dies, too. Very elegant, very sophisticated. Beautiful. Hugs

Foxgloves are one of my favourite flowers and I can't grow them at all! Your colouring is fantastic! It augments that amazing image so very well. Love the pierced oval and that beautiful sheer ribbon. Such a gorgeous card!

BEEEutiful. I love those little bumble bees (don't have them here yet). This is a wonderful image - and I can't wait for it to be released as a stamp. Your colouring of these lovely fox gloves is amazing - and so life like. Makes me want to go and have a walk in the garden to see if any of my foxgloves are starting to grow yet. Getting a bit frosty for that at the moment. A totally wonderful card.
