well my first thought was, I am not going to do this...gradually I talked myself into it and had fun doing it....I decided to make a grid on wax paper with my glue gun... the hard part was getting it off which I finally did and then using masking tape, I taped the edges to hold it in place and sponged using not quite navy and yoyo yellow hoping I would get some green out of it....once it was done and I removed the glue, I was happy with my work and then to decide what to do with it... thus the cupcakes...

Ah! I tried on waxed paper first, and it was so hard to get off that I decided it would be easier to start again! I was surprised, because I knew I'd read of people using waxed paper to make Dew Drops on. I'm glad it wasn't just me, but sorry you had trouble too. The grid and sponging look great, and the cupcakes look - well, sweet!
