Sabrina wants us to make a butterfly garden in the gallery today. It should be beautiful with all the different colored butterflies. I need to make a card for a 90 year young gal. The niece gave me these instructions. Put her name on it, and add a bow and gems. I have embossed on vellum before using a computer, but usually with gold embossing powder. Today I tried it with the white. Using my software program...did the sentiment. Now instead of using black, changed it to a soft blue color. Ran it through my printer, and immediately put white embossing powder on the vellum.. It worked. Using various dies completed the card. TFL

This looks perfect for the birthday girl! Don't you love being able to emboss computer printed materials? I've had great luck with shimmer papers and metallics, also. Love those delicate swirls and the gorgeous bow!

Linda, this is so elegant! It reminds me of beautifully decorated cakes - I think it's all the crisp white and simple contrast with the blue. And the white-embossed sentiment on vellum - great that that worked out so well for you.
The very first wedding cake I decorated had little butterflies all over it!

You did a beautiful job with this lovely card, Linda! I used to do this on vellum but haven't in such a long time. It's a great way to personalize a card and make the recipient feel special!
