I had a request for Father's day cards and loved the many different shirt patterns and ideas. A friend works for a paper co. And brings home discards and shares so I had a ton of heavyweight navy and thought I'd adapt the shirt card to include a hint of pants and a belt. And, when I say adapt I mean to seriously hurt my non-mathematical brain. The easiest way would be to use plain stock on the thinner side for the shirt, which makes the collar fold waaaaay easier. I will try and give you my outline, which requires some fiddling, but once you have the hang, they're kinda rewarding
THE CARD -size when folded is 3 1/8 w x 4 3/4 h (the shoulders of the shirt go along the fold and the collar sticks up above another 3/4 inch so it will fit a standard A2 envelope.
SHIRT- cut a piece of patterned or plain stock to 3 1/2 x 4 1/4 (the 3 1/2 width will be trimmed to 3 1/8 after the collar is done because that is the only way I could figure out to get the collar the size and width I wanted:( be my guest to find an easier way!! If you are using a 6x6 pad, reserve the 1 1/2" x 3 1/2 inch piece that is left over after your shirt is cut. (This will be used to piece the collar if needed, i won't go into detail here, but msg me if you need them)
COLLAR- measure down from top of shirt a scant 3/4" and cut in 5/8" on each end. Carefully fold those two pieces in toward the center of the shirt to form the collar. Plain single colour paper will be done, but patterned paper will fold the backside of your paper forward, and this may or may not be a pleasing effect. It worked great on my plaid shirt, but all the others had to be pieced in. Trim each side 3/16 of an inch to get back to your card base measurement of 3 1/8. You must do each side to keep the shoulders even!!
SLEEVES- 1"w x 1 1/2" h. Attach to shirt taking care how far the bottoms of the sleeve stick out or you won't be able to fit it in the envelope!!
BELT- is 1/2" x 3 1/8 embelisshed as you wish.
For more details add a pocket, belt loops, pierce or stitch a fly into the pants or add a badge of script.
I hand drew my tie and made a template so I don't really have much to offer there. Some gals have tied ribbon like a real tie and done that, others have a stamp. If you have any questions or want advice on how I pieced in my collars, just msg me and I'll try to explain.

Girl, you are too cool for school. Mathematically challenged you say? Oh, I think you've met your match today. I read your narrative but, honestly, I could never ever put that down on paper! These are the sweetest cards, Michelle. Leave it to you to always come up with the best of the best cards. You are so talented. I so applaud your creativity. Hugs.
