This is for Toni's WTUI challenge ~ WT529 It's About Time. That brilliant title says it all!!
I had already made a card a couple of weeks back which I reckoned I'd use for my older nephew's birthday next month - but now I think I'll use this one instead. He'll be 18, so the clock is set for 18.00 if you think of a 24-hour clock ;-). DH likes it better without the owls, but I wanted to use them since my brother has both a cuckoo clock and a clock that chimes different birdsongs in his house. And I like the way the one on the 6 looks as if he is wearing a tux .
Base - kraft stamped with the Woodgrain in walnut stain, edged with black.
Main panel - Brushos sprinkled on wet watercolour paper and misted. I stamped the clock face and sentiment and embossed them with black EP. Added chunky metallic EP and edged the panel with black.
The hands are embossed with copper EP, with a little owl on each one (Glossy Accents on the owls' eyes).
I actually made a different card for the CCEE Stampers this week, but since Frances had asked us to mark National Astronomy Day, I had stars in mind and used a star brad to hold the clock hands on, and added a couple more little ones on the clock face too. Main panel is popped up on foam tape.

This is the first time I am in disagreement with your DH......I LOVE the owls, and I think 18:00 on the clock is fun!!

Your brain must be in the artistic mode at full speed.....I'm always amazed how you come up with the mixtures of different mediums you use to make the most astounding bg. Like the look of your brushos with the added gold. The back panel looks perfect as the wood frame of a clock. The added stars and owls are perfect for the whole look. Love the whole card. TFS

I am having problems with my tablet, and since I saw this earlier this week have been trying to post a comment. All I can say is TRIPPLE WOWZERS! This is so fantastic with the different materials, interesting techniques, and wonderful details. "sorry Sabrina's DH... those owls are pure design genius". Since I am struggling to make a b-day card for my son who is turning 18, I can say with confidence that your nephew will flip over this. Into my favs.
