This card is for two challenges. First, I am entering the contest at My Sweet Petunia to win a MISTI. Here is the link- Win a MISTI (or two) (Contest Closed) by MySweetPetunia at Splitcoaststampers This is also for the FS429. This may be cheating since I am the featured stamper, but I was so excited and impressed by the gorgeous cards you all made that I just had to play along. Now, as to why I need ( OK, really want a whole lot) the MISTI. After 23 years of marriage where both my husband and I had good jobs, he was laid off 15 months ago. We have been struggling to get by on my sallery alone... Translation - no money to spend on craft supplies. This is not all bad. I have disvovered stampd, die cuts, and embossing folders that I never knew I had, and have been much more creative in using what I already own. However, nothing I have comes close to the MISTI... there just are no substitutes. Every time I read how wonderful the MISTI is in everyone's gallery descriptions, I feel like Charlie from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, looking into the window of the candy shop. I am hoping that this contest is my golden ticket .... the MISTI is way better than a whole factory of chocolate. I make very bright, bussy backgrounds and my images frequently don't show up well , as in this card where I had to try to add some heat embossed flowers and white gel pen outlines in order to see the flowers. With the MISTI I could get the saturated black images that I like. I added the sentiment because I am DREAMING of winning a MISTI.

Oh Francie, I know everyone can't win; since I have been where you are, I hope it's you! I love your reference to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, it reminded me of the first time I read it. And, of course, I love your card with your trademark bright colours and silhouettes.
