Congratulations to Francie aka f.schles on being choses Featured Stamper this week. I love your bright and cheery gallery and your sense of humor. I chose this card to case.
Your frustration sounded just like my daily cardmaking. Well, maybe not EVERY time, but often.
At this point I think I will NEVER attempt water color, but "never say never" as I see so much of it lately that I just may get curious, but that will have to be after I retire and I AM working on it. Retiring from a family business is harder than normal.
That being said, I took the easy way on this card. I love the woodland sunset look of Francie's card, so did my own. I cut three strips of cardstock and glued them onto a green sheet of cardstock. Then I stamped the trees, added the punched sun and stamped the flying geese. My intent was to have somewhat of a sunset of the lake. Did I accomplish it?
I have changed everything but the idea.

Such a very creative way to create the background! Your choice of papers works beautifully, and the geese look awesome against the sun! VERY cool!

Carol, I will have to CASE your CASE. This is such a creative design. It is like a collage. You sure did succeed in creating a sunset on the lake scene. This is just gorgeous, and I can't stop admiring the patterns and colors of the stripes of dp. Pinned for future reference. Thank you for playing in the challenge.
