I'm going to miss this amazing hostess set! I'm so glad I have it! And these colors are so amazing! I've fallen head over heels in love with Strawberry Slush and I didn't think I would like Pistachio Pudding but now I'm addicted!
Enough about that, on to the card: One of the couples from church are getting married and the shower is tomorrow (how timely) so this card is for Amelia.
I used my usual trick of a monochromatic embossed layer raised up w dimensionals. This is just a 'must' for me now bc it adds so much dimension and texture. I beast embossed the fun little flowers w white EP then colored them w ink and a blender pen, trying to layer on the colors. I layered it together with a doily, some DSP and added the sentiment. If I have a "signature" look, it's the button on the ribbon w bakers twine. Cards just look better that way, imho. I wanted matching twine so I just colored some wwhite with the ppudding marker. I added another flower and some DSP to the inside of the card and another sentiment. The result is soft and pretty, which is what I was hoping for.
I've been hoarding that amazing In Color stack, so now it's ok to use it like crazy, so I made a matching SSlush envelope.

What a beautiful card....your doily peeking out the edge....and the white embossing with the coloring, all on vellum is gorgeous! Something I must try!

Oh my goodness, Lynn! I had to hurry to see which stamps you've used ... because this is completely gorgeous! Love your imaging on the vellum as well as the design!
