How exciting to have today's challenge be w/c bg. I just learned a new technique from a class I am taking from Scrap Time. Worked perfectly for this card.....details...
You sponge paint on your acrylic block, spritz it with water, then stamp it on your cs. Dry. Repeat process.
After I was satisfied with the bg, I added a scrap strip cut off of another project to the edge and sponged on the hearts using a stencil.
On a book page, I drew the flower tops and sentiment which as I was editing the photo realized I made a big OOPS! Oh well. This card is for a dear friend and I think she will get a kick out of it when she catches what I did. hehe Then I cut the shapes out and glued them to my bg.
Doodled the stems, leaves and dirt pile. Painted everything and doodled some more. Done.
Well other than that OOPS, I am pleased with how this turned out. Thanks Cathy for a fun challenge. TFL :0)

So glad you are having time to make cards......I always need a Mutnik fix. Love this artsy card with the new technique.....yes it should be fun to see if your friend misses anything I like how you played on the sentiment. TFS

So you made a snafu, did you? Don't you think most of us do that with frequency? I know I do it a lot. Whoever receives this will laugh and think to herself, "oh no, poor Russian Spy, she doesn't know she made a mistake". I think your card is darling with those bolder than life colors and your doodling.

Your card is just too super to worry over an OOPS. I love your background and those pretty flowers. I wish I could doodle like you. I need a few lessons. Actually, that probably wouldn't help me. :(

LOVE the colors, and the fun flowers and sentiment on the text paper. Your b&w doodled stems look awesome. SO fun and so happy!
