Although I still have one more to upload, this sees me finished with my quota of 4 Christmas cards this month. Unlike the Paris one, which was fun to make but not universally suitable to give, I might re-visit this one. It was both fun to make and will suit anybody.
Last night I was working on another card trying to spatter masking fluid, but I was using my oldest bottle and it's showing it's age, so I ended up with two panels of paper with HUGE splashes of fluid. I set them aside to use (quickly, before it gets too hard to peel the masking fluid off), and this is the first one. I used a mixture of Twinkling H2Os and regular watercolour to wash the piece of card, then trimmed it down and distressed the edges. The poinsettias were stamped on a printed vellum, embossed with white and cut out. To attach them to the base, I cut little circles from double-sided adhesive with a small circle die - worked perfectly. Added the sentiment and a flourish cut from silver glitter card and used in several pieces.
