I needed a quick sympathy card for the family of a local rancher who passed away, and I turned to my tiny collection of cowboy stamps for inspiration. When it was done, I realized it was the perfect fit for the recent Clean & Simple Challenge CAS 319 - Make it Masculine (4/6/15).
This card went together quickly after I spent WAY too much time contemplating where to place the image panel. I decided that I liked the look of one end of the diecut running off the edge of the card....sort of like riding off into the sunset.
The image & sentiment were stamped in black ink and heat embossed with clear detail embossing powder. To give a dusty, trail-ride effect, I sponged the edges with a soft wheat colored ink.
I thank you kindly for stopping by to look at my Last Roundup card!
P.S. In case you are interested in locating the cowboy stamp used on this card, the company name has changed and they are now going by sutterstamps.com. Here's a link to stamp on their website: http://store.sutterstamps.com/g-949.html
They have LOTS of fun realistic western images, just follow the link and browse the tool bar that appears in the left side of the page. Enjoy!

Susy, you are so clever and this is richly and simply a wonderful send off. The panel looks like a cowboy's belt buckle with a little trail dust on the edges!
Susy, this is a great masculine CAS card! I like the design you settled on and it made me smile to read about your contemplation time, sounds just like me!!!
