A wonderful SCS gifted me the On Line Watercolor class... I haven't stopped skipping yet. The "before you get started" video suggested you get used to watercolors by making a plaid bg. Mine did not look anything like the demonstrator's. The first thing I learned is that watercolor is a lot harder than it looks. I hate to waste things, so I went looking for something to do with my bg. The TLC528 cluster stamping was perfect. I cut a paper oval mask and stamped flowers onto white cardstock. I watetcolored the flowers, cut the same size oval out of my plaid watercolored bg, lined it up and glued it down. I glued the trimed off edges from my watercolor bg onto the card at an angle. Since there are flowers, I put it into the F4A267 gallery. I used the colors in the 4 corners of the CC525 bingo card... So Saffron, Cherry Cobbler, Sky, and Old Olive. TFL, Francie

I love your plaid, Francie!! I would like it in a nice cotton fabric and I would make a skirt from it. Even the great way you used the cut-off strips puts me in mind of sewing,it gives the lookof tucks or pleats.
What a lovely gift, too, I am sure you will really enjoy it!

I wholeheartedly agree: watercolor is harder than it looks....no magic eraser or white paint. ; ) You did a super job creating your plaid...also serves as a guide when layers of color are placed on other dry layers. Makes a striking and colorful bg for your circle of flowers.
