The Happy Little Stampers April CAS Challenge: Stenciling hosted by Loll Thompson gallery is growing with beautiful and creative samples. Loll also included 12 video's and written tutorials of different types of stenciling techniques on her challenge page :-)
I was playing with my new SU Spring Flowers EB Folder using the EB Folder Stamping Technique by Audrie. I sponged the open folder on side of Logo with 3 colors of SU ink, spritzed with water and then closed pressing down to make sure the ink spread over the entire folder (Audrie just closed to get partial ink stamping). I wanted the flowers to be more distinct. After my piece dried I kept looking at it and...Gosh, it looked like it had been Stenciled, which is basically masking and that is what the EB Folder does. So....Voila'...My Faux Stenciled Background :-) How fun is that?!? A new Stenciling Technique :-)
I did use my aqua painter to spread some of the ink around the flowers and added a little more color where needed too. Worked great.
Hope many of you can play along with Loll's HLS April CAS: Stenciling Challenge!
Enjoy and Happy Stamping...
