Love our challenge today: flowers (F4A267). I have been learning a lot from the artists on the Penny Black blog - especially Jill Foster, and tried my hand at some of her techniques with some recent PB products. Sponged the main panel with 2 colors and then laid the stencil down and "pounced" around the stencil to get a darker color in that part. Stamped the flowers twice - once on the main panel and then on a separate piece of cs, blended several ink colors, then sprayed with shimmer spray and cut out the blooms and buds only. These just shimmer IRL. Adhered them to the main panel, added the text stamp and a little darker distress around the bottom to make it more "earthy", which is why I am also linking to our "elements" challenge. I feel like I went too dark on this section unfortunately - live and learn! Mounted main panel on card with dimensionals. Linking also to:

Definitely not too dark on the bottom, Maura. This combination of saturated colours looks amazing. You have created a stunning card!! You should enter at Mixed Media Card Challenge ... April's challenge is flowers. xx

Gorgeous. I especially like how you used the stencil on this card. I don't think you got the ink too dark down on the bottom -- the dark down there grounds it and helps keep the attention on the top area.
