This is for Robin's fun Free For All challenge. Check out all the details here .
There are so many ways to showcase flowers - stamped, coloured, watercoloured, painted, inked, stencilled, dies, hand drawn, premade and the list goes on. I chose to use designer paper. DP can be a great way to make a quick card or to make something pretty when your mojo goes on holidays without you.
Several weeks ago Sabrina introduced me to the Pop-Up Diorama technique. There is a great tutorial here .
I changed the measurements so that my finished card measures 5.5" x 5.5" square. You will need to cut and join cardbase so the FINISHED measurements are 5.5" x 16.5".
Ensure that the join is on the front panel, you won't see it when you cover both sides with patterned paper.
Score at 5.5" , 10.5" , 11" and 16" . I actually joined two prescored 5.5" square card bases. I find it easier to make the join first, then cut it to the correct length of 16.5". After diecutting the window, I lightly inked around the edges to give some definition, added some acetate to make the windows look real then stuck the window back in place.
The left panel is a complete corner from a 12 x 12" dp - it even came complete with a crackle finish, writing and butterflies. I fussy cut a small portion of the paper and stuck it on the right hand side too. I added a panel of dp to the back wall (up close it looks like wall paper), added the curtains then stuck the side seam in place. I cut the manufacturers strip off so I could give the details...I put it somewhere real safe....not sure where that "somewhere" actually is. I think this is Kaisercraft paper???
Finished off with a light inking around the edges and on the fold lines, added the fence and decorated the front.
Thank you for looking and I hope you get a chance to join in the fun. Wishing everyone a safe and peaceful Easter.
LATE EDIT: I just discovered that A3 measures exactly 16.5" across. Aussie girls, I bought a 300gsm watercoloured A3 pad from Aldi for about $5. I think Canson also do an A3 card stock, come to think of it, the Asian two-dollar shops sell A3 too.

What a fabulous card, Susie! Your floral paper is lovely and the fence looks nice. Great way to add the widow w/lace curtain using Sabrina's pop up diorama tutorial .

I have no clue how I missed this beauty! LOVE that designer paper and I am amazed at your ability to alter patterns for your cards! This is gorgeous, Susie, and sorry I missed it. Notifications are not always coming through.
