Wow - I can't remember the last time I had time to make two cards for a challenge! Hurrah for a day off. I wanted to make a card to send someone, and my Verve poppies arrived yesterday, so for Cathy's WT523 Triple Play challenge I used three poppies with three layers each, three leafy sprays, and dots of gold pen clustered in threes.
This is an exceptionally appropriate verse to have used, since I associate it with the first time I ever heard DH sing - and another advantage to a day off is that I'm just home from a lunch-date with him.
Base - Hexagon stencil, Brusho sprays in brown and turquoise, edged with leafing pen.
The poppies were stamped on red Bazzill, no colouring needed. The foliage sprays were diecut from an old scrap of some embossing technique. The kraft base had been badly stamped with an IO lace stamp and went into my scrap box. Whatever I did to it, the ink for the sentiment just wasn't setting and I smudged it a tiny bit - half an hour later I was still able to add embossing powder and prevent any more smudges. The torn edges were sponged with some white, and I stitched down the un-torn edge. Fun to make - thanks for the challenge, Cathy.

What a triple decked beauty, Sabrina!! Love those stacked poppies, your leafy branches using up a piece from an embossing technique and most importantly, the verse, which also ties into some lovely memories! The torn edge layer against the STUNNING base of your card gives it a variance of color that really is wonderful!
I know this card was made with your DH in mind, as it is so full of love!
