This is for Peggy's (pegmac71) colour challenge. It didn't seem to matter how many times I photographed this, the wisteria colour is not true to life here.
I was lucky enough to recieve this deer and his leaping mate from several Teapotters throughout the year.
I need a couple of cards this Christmas for friends who lost loved ones in December, I thought this type of card might be appropriate.
I sponged grey distress ink onto the background then stencilled on modelling past. Once dry, I layered it onto wisteria coloured cardstock, then onto a white card base.
Thank you for looking.

So pretty and so peaceful, Susie, and I would think entirely appropriate. How thoughtful of you!

Beautiful, Susie! Love the background, the birch trees and that wonderful noble deer die cut! I do love how you shaded him a bit too! This is perfect for your friends.

Yep - its that Australian sunshine again - makes you see colours in a different light - your wisteria paled into insignificance and mine became bright purple!! Makes the whole experience of uploading a card interesting and very frustrating. I do like your "oh deer" and the lovely birch trees too.

Susie, this is an impressive and regal looking card in these colors and with the beautifully posed deer. Your card will be an appropriate Christmas card for friends who might no be in the mood for dancing Santas and cavorting elves.

What a beautiful card - the deer, paused in the wood, listening for the sound of a loved one's voice - great representation and especially in the subdued coloring, appropriate for one who has lost someone in an otherwise "happy" season. Love how you did your BG with the stenciled on modeling paste - gave your card quite an "art-sy " look! Awesome, Susie!
