The Clean & Simple challenge, CAS316 (3/16/15), was to create a CAS design without using patterned paper.
Yippee, for me! I have LOTS of dsp, I love dsp, I just dont have a knack for using it effectively. So this challenge to use no patterned paper made me breathe a sigh of relief. Total freedom to create a CAS design, with lots of white space.
After I started this card, I realized that the goose image needed an interesting background. So what did it do? I stamped a field of grasses, which had the effect of creating my own, custom patterned paper. Go figure! So much for my lots-of-white-space concept.....
I die cut the goose image, and then applied color to using small small sponge daubers while the image was still in the die. This left a nice clean white border around the die cut. I then applied a small black rhinestone as an eye in an effort to hide a boo-boo that happened when I tried to remove a little color with an eraser. The CS was too damp and it caused the surface to lift. ACK! Note to self: next time, no eraser! Ha...
Thanks for popping in to look at my get well goose.
