It is hard to tell, but the decorative fan stamp is done using the mirror image technique from today's TLC525. There is not a single card with real stitching in my entire gallery. The hay day for my sewing machine was when my boys were little and every day the knees of their jeans would mysteriously disappear. I was constantly repairing jeans and bandaging knees. One time when the boys were out of control, I looked up for one second and the needle went straignt through my thumb nail, harpooning it to the machine. Scared the boys half to death... they were sure well behaved for the rest of the day. So, I had the machine out to mend my son's shirt, and one thing led to another. I decided to give sewing on cardstock one last try, since it had never worked before. I grabbed the closest piece of scrap paper and sewed it to a square of cs. OMG!!! For the first time ever, it worked. I had sewn 2 more pieces of dp down before I was sure it wasn't a fluke. I decided to save this sewing marvel to see if it would work with any of the upcoming challenges. Everything just sermed to come together for the TLC525. My mirrored image wasn't real clear, so I darkened the lines with a black sharpie. Then I coukdn't color it in with my usual bright copics since they bleed with the sharpie. That led me to use the metalic pens. It amazes me how cards seem to take shape when I didn't have any intention of making a card. Have a terrific day. TFL, Francie

I love the story of how the card progressed!! I have to tell you, my sewing machine got the biggest home workout with my boys too. My worst day? Made an Easter suit for my four year old (he's 50 now!), he stepped out of the door and fell on his knee. Last suit I ever made!

Francie, this is SO unique and so fresh! I LOVE it and love the stitching! Your sewing experiences did bring smiles, except for the fingernail thing. I did that and can relate. Yowza that hurts and I almost passed out just seeing it when it happened here.

I love any sewing on cards and sewing stories are even better! This card is gorgeous and the mirror technique worked perfectly. Hope there were no injuries with this beauty!
