This month's Mixed Media Card Challenge is "Hints of Spring". Here in Vancouver, Canada we get plenty of spring rain, cherry blossoms, and lots of bulbs blooming everywhere.
I spread glass beads texture gel over the Memory Box Splatter stencil and then sprinkled randomly with pink Perfect Pearls while the gel was wet. I wanted to get a sense of both raindrops and cherry blossoms drifting down to the ground.
I die cut two of the Memory Box tulips die and sponged them with Distress pinks till I got a match for the Perfect Pearls pink. Then used green to sponge the stems. I tied them with a pink twine and used Glossy Accents to stick them to the background.
A simple spring sentiment stamped in the same green finished it off and I popped the panel up with dimensional tape.
It's also for Happy Little Stampers March challenge, "Sponging". Here are the links for the two challenges if you want to play along:

I love the glass beads, I should try using them with a stencil. The splashes of pink (cherry blossoms) look wonderful, and of course what a great way to tie your bouquet of flowers

This is beautiful! I love the soft way you sponged these flowers. The glass beads look wonderful -I would not of thought of using them in this way - very creative.
I sure wish we had cherry blossoms and bulbs blooming here in Winnipeg already.
