This is my card for Rheannon, in the current MMTPT345 challenge. It's tough losing your mother - I wasn't even forty when mine died; I know it happens to all of us sooner or later, but some are lucky to have it later!
I think I gave away my only really suitable stamp - so I just went for a mish-mash of antique-y bits and pieces such as might be found up in an old attic. In fact, I started out with some real old lace, but it just didn't come together for me.
Base sponged with Victorian Velvet.
Lace stamped with Smokey Grey on white, edges distressed. I stamped the fan on some old BG Sugar Rush, and was lucky to find a tassel in the perfect matching colour in one of my boxes of Tickle gifts. I added some feathers and buttons, and then decided to add a border from K&Co. Sentiment punched with an oval punch, sponged slightly and then given the Cracked Glass treatment for a vintage look. I added 3 pearls at each end of it.

Sabrina, the vintage feel is perfect. I cannot pull vintage off. Whenever I try this it looks like the glue ran and picked up extraneous bits and pieces off my desk. However your card is lovely.

Wow, Sabrina! What a beautiful card! There is so much to see on this! The lace struck me right away as well as the cracked glass, fan, buttons and awesome border! The feathers were a wonderful final touch! This is SO creative and so perfect for her!
