This is my card for CC521. Karen is our hostess and she chose lost lagoon, daffodil delight, strawberry slush and pear pizzazz as the color palette. Dessert is flowers but not stamped. I used die cut flowers.
I just bought this new stained glass cutting plate from Taylored Expressions after seeing the beautiful card samples on her store web site. I thought Karen's colors would be beautiful as a stained glass window.
I cut the image once in white and then again in all the challenge colors. I pieced in the die cuts for the stained glass look. Before I started the piecing of the dies. I layered the white image panel over a panel of strawberry slush card stock.
My Easter word is a die from Impression Obsession. The tulips are a die from the Frantic Stamper.
I layered them over a piece of vellum because they seemed to be competing with the background. The vellum is a nice separation, I thought. This idea came from Joan Ervin.. Thanks Joan.
Well that's my card for this week. Hope you can play along with us. You may be our next color challenge fave or even our next guest designer.
Check out our Pinterest Board here and see all the faves from week's past. We also put the DT samples on that board.

Gorgeous!
I like the sketch, the colors and the way you stick together!
Do you use one die only or do you used the
pieced die-cut technique for the cross?

Lovely Easter card with these colors, Mary. Your cover-all die does indeed look like a contemporary stained glass window when you add back in the colored pieces. Pretty font of your "Easter" too.
