I wanted to try to recreate the BG by brayering Gesso onto black CS. I was really pleased with how it turned out. After it was dry, I stamped my image and made a staggered 3 panel card.
Thanks so much for taking a closer look. I really appreciate it.

WOW, what a cool effect--I need to learn more about this technique with gesso, just purchased some and have never used it. Came in a kit with 2 other products...
Love the turquoise against the grey and black--beautiful!

The split images make an interesting design on your card, Barb. You did a super job of recreating the bg of the painting that you chose...very creative. A winner!!

Wow! Barbie, you've created a beautiful card from your inspiration piece. You nailed the background of the painting. The staggered design of your card is awesome and I love the color of the Poppies! Great job.

Your bg turned out so interesting, Barb....so much to look at, love it! So today I saw some yellow poppies and now blue ones...so nice to see a change from all the red ones! The staggered strips look great~
