For MariLynn's MIX110 Pop It Up challenge, which I have combined with Audrie's The Great BIG canvas IC challenge.
I need a card for my MIL - Mother's Day here is next Sunday - so I took the colours from THIS canvas. I could have got lost just looking at all the florals, never mind any other section. But I spent all morning cooking, and was lucky to have a space for stamping while I did a gallery mod shift; as soon as I get this uploaded it's back to the kitchen ;-).
I tried, and loved, Dina's One Layer Paper Tole tutorial, I hope you can see it - the two paler flowers and most of the leaves are popped up. Image coloured with Inktense pencils, and some Liquid Pearls added. I layered it onto a green oval before the black scalloped layer, so when you see under the popped-up bits it's still garden green.
For the base, I used a TCW stencil and spritzed with homemade mister. The Cuttlebug Vintage Corners have Rub-on Luster on them, and then some Liquid Pearls and Stickles. I added little dots of Stickles and Liquid Pearls in some of the hexagons, and finished it off with lace, the sentiment tags and two little bees. I thought about sequins, but it's for my MIL and DH vetoed them.
Oh - it's edged with a gold Krylon leafing pen.
Got to dash - happy weekend, everybody.

Another gorgeous creation, Sabrina. It would have taken me all day, abd the cooking would have sent me into a coma. The flowers are just so pretty and must be amazing IRL. The black scalloped oval makes a lovely frame forvthe flowers. Those little bees are a terrific accent.
