Terrific sketch from Cathy with a wide open space left to our imagination. My changes: In place of the pointed banner, I stamped a row of cabanas on vellum...stamped off first, so they would be fainter and appear more in the distance. Instead of the circle, I put a die cut of an Adirondack chair.

Fabulous card, and if wishing could make it happen, I'd be there.

Sallie, I love the stenciled watercolor background! They cabanas on the vellum really do have a distant feel to them, and the Adirondack chair is a wonderful focal. The offset borders are a great touch; I really like the torn edge!

Sallie, this is so unique and creative! I love the way you turn sketches into your own, wonderful creations. That background is fabulous, sunny and warm and love the Adirondack chair. Your use of vellum is brilliant!

I'm wishing I was there too!! I love your palm tree and adirondack chair. Nice job using your Brushes again. :>)
I find myself just wishing for something green. We are supposed to have a very cold day again. Not nice for my puppy, or anyone else for that matter. :>)

Sallie, as soon as I finished struggling with my very unimaginative watercolor blue jays, I looked in the gallery and saw this incrediably creative watercolor masterpiece. You are the queen of watercolors... mine have been banished to the back of the coat closet with the evil gelli plate. Your watercolor bg feels like a tropical sky and has such a feel of movement to it. The colors are gorgeous. The lightly stamped buildings on velum are just wonderful. Right into my favs.

That looks so wonderfully warm and inviting! Love the stencilled background. And the adirondack chair is a great interpretation of the circle in the sketch challenge.
