This is for Joan's fun TLC challenge - a scene in a circle.
I spent hours and hours creating this background....liar, liar, pants on fire!!! I did a gelli plate background with acrylic paint, it turned to mud. When it was dry and I got over my hissy fit, I sprayed some dylusions ink onto al foil then swished the card stock around in the inky puddle.
Once it was dry I tried to spray some white dylusions ink onto the cardstock....the nozzle was blocked....I removed the lid.....the white stuff is all over my desk, but I managed to dab my card in some of it, and here is the result.
I added my new Lavinia stamps die...job done. Thank you for looking, if you don't hear from me for a while, it is because I am still trying to get the white painty ink off my desk.

Oh you sure achieved a beautiful BG on this even with getting white stuff all over your desk. I once did that with glitter and I am still finding glitter on my stamp pads I am not sure it will ever go away. WOW!! And I love the tribute to Mr. Spock in your title.

Well your background turned out fantastic. With all that happened I bet you couldn't duplicate it if you wanted to. Especially if all your white paint is gone It turned out great however.
