This week's 52 Christmas Card Throwdown challenge is "sequins and pearls". Seemed perfect for a shaker card!
Jennifer Maguire has done some great videos recently on shaker cards so I used some of her tips - gluing a couple of the sequins around the image so that not everything falls to the bottom of the shaker, and using a piece of thin fun foam between the top layer and the cardbase so that there is more support around the shaker part.
I stamped and coloured my snowman, glued on a few sequins, and added more sequins and some microbeads inside the shaker. I stamped and heat embossed snowflakes on my top layer and cut out an oval for the shaker to show through, and also cut out an oval frame for the shaker. I added the sentiment with ribbon, and also pearls on the centres of many of the snowflakes.
It's also for February's theme of snowmen for the SCS Christmas Card Challenge and the Sparkle Creations "Anything Goes" Christmas card challenge.

Susan, I just LOVE your shaker card snowman! I did see her tip about gluing on some sequins and I love that look! The micro beads are so perfect with him and love that designer paper too!

What a cute little snowy scene you've created in the shaker element! I love all the snowflakes embellished with pearls on the front panel of the card, too. Thanks so much for joining us at 52CCT!
