This is my card for CC518. Kim is our hostess and she chose blackberry bliss, pear pizzazz and pool party. Our dessert option is to use our favorite embellishment. One of my faves is ribbon. I love using it on cards but seem to use it less and less these days.
These colors spoke flowers to me. And flowers speak feminine and from there birthday. So I went that direction and decided to use a new stamp set. I bought the flower patch set with matching dies several months ago and didn't ink until today.
I stamped the flowers with blackberry bliss and pool party inks then die cut. I used the leaf die from the set to cut some leaves in pear pizzazz. I sponged the edges to give a little depth. My dsp is from the Stampin-Up "gingham garden" collection.
To complete the card and manage the dessert option, I added some pear pizzazz ribbon. Die-cut the birthday word in blackberry bliss and scattered a few sequins.
That's my sample for this week. Hope you can play along with us. You may be our next fave of the week and have your card featured on our Pinterest board. See board here.

You really nailed this week's colors, Mary. I love the combo of the paper and ribbon, and of course the pretty flowers and graphic "birthday." Such a pretty card!

All of the die cuts are fabulous! I like the contrast of the bold flowers against the monochromatic dp. Pretty card!

Mary, what a beautiful, texture filled card you have here. Love your ribbon. Reminds me that I have lots to use so I better get started.

Your b'day card turned out beautifully in these colors, Mary. Your flowers add a nice dimension in the way you have stacked them and their leaves. Beautiful choice of bg DP with its color and pattern.
