There was an awesome sketch and I used the Sun Ray Stencil sponged on with the new In the Buff ink pad. I was expecting more of a flesh tone color due to the name, but it makes a great very light yellow color that I was able to start heavy with for my sun and blend out using my ink blending tool. I used this as the layer for the left side of the card.
Of course, I couldn't wait to get my hands on Lisa Johnson's new Spring Tulips stamp set and coordinating Die-Namics! They are very fun to color! The sketch also calls for a circle in the background so I die-cut a circle from Blueprints 22 with Sno Cone card stock and then sponged in clouds using Sno Cone ink for a tone-on-tone look with the Cloudy Day Stencil.
I stamped my sentiment onto vellum card stock using the Stitched Fishtail Flag STAX Die-Namics but had to modify it a bit so I could have an even notched banner at both ends. I used Versamark and then black embossing powder. I heat set this and of course, it got all wonky on me despite my best efforts. So I let it sit all night long under my iPhone to flatten it out and then put a sticky note on top so when I woke up, I wouldn't flip out not being able to find my sentiment because I uploaded this to the challenge InLinkz 16 minutes before it closed! I added a bit of adhesive behind the wording of the sentiment and then layered it on top of the flower stems.
