This is a birthday card for my friend Sherri! I found this gorgeous paper and decided to play with it. It actually has another piece of the same paper behind the die cut peice. The Make a Wish is from Penny Black. (Cut three times and glued together).Although this is going to be right next to another in my gallery that I used the same sentiment on they were actually made a few weeks a part. I used the faux pearl technique to accessorize the butterfly and corners. I was waiting for Sherri to receive this before posting it. I used the same paper inside with another penny Black sentiment on it. I LOVE these colors together and I really enjoyed making this card.
Thank you SO much for stopping by for a look!

Oh, wow! That paper is BEAUTIFUL! I love the die cut layered over another piece of the same paper - and the sentiment, butterfly and card base are the perfect color. This is fabulous!

Peggy, no WONDER you love this paper so much - it is to die for!!! Looks so feminine with that SB die too. I am so glad you kept one of the same colors to use for the "Make A Wish" sentiment. You must have the patience of a saint to glue three such fragile word dies together and make it look effortless like this - bet your friend flipped when she saw it!!

Wow Peggy, this sure is a real beauty! I have not seen the faux pearl technique but I think I am going to need to check it out as these are so stunning. I need to remember to cut my words more than once to pop them up. I have tired popping them up on dimensionals but that can be a real challenge. Your card is so soft and elegant. I am sure Sherri just loved receiving this beauty.

Oh my goodness--this is STUNNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was absolutely BLOWN AWAY when I saw this card on your gallery, Peggy!!! I love how you've taken this gorgeous DP and then die-cut it and used it on this card. Nice!!! I'm sure your friend LOVED IT!!!
I've been unable to create for some time, just trying to get back into creating again...and thought I'd take a look at your creations, as I'm always so inspired and impressed, and this card is no exception!
