Murphy's law frequently applies to my crafting experience. When I am knee deep in things to do - stuck at work, family members needing me right NOW, the house is on fire and I can't reach my craft supplies- my mind explodes with fantastic ideas. Then there are those times when no one needs you and nothing has to be done right this minute. Those are the times when I find that my mojo has packed up, moved out, and left no forwarding address. That is what happened last night. So, I decided to make some easy backgrounds for my stash. Usually I have an image and apply bg inks according to the image. Here I just sponged the 3 colors on and then sponged the same colors through different patterned stencils making a light and dark bg. Luckily the CAS312 was posted early. I had no stamps with numbers, but I remembered seeing this one. Roman numerals count, don't they? Even though I did not plan it, the bg colors worked. I just added some gold and white gel pen to make the image stand out more. TFL, Francie

No mojo?!?! Good grief, Francie, this is just super. I love your colours and the bird perched on the pile of tea-cups. The white highlights on the foreground flower look beautiful. And if a Roman numeral isn't a number, I don't know what is. Into my favourites .

Numbers are numbers whether Arabic, Roman or Chinese IMO. Sensational card with your talent for creating vividly colored and collage style cards, Francie. This is a beauty.

Wish my "no mojo" moments were like this. That is a brilliant stamp and your sponged background is just so nice and bright. I like the way you have highlight the image with white gel pen too.
