This is the beginning of my page for the February progressive challenge. Our hostess, TrishG gave us the following instructions for task one:
1. Use black paper as your base.
2. Choose one punch shape (square, diamond, hexagon, circle, heart, etc) and use it throughout the middle section of your page. You can have them all the same size, make it random or make a pattern that's up to you. Leave the top inch of the page clear and the bottom 3 inches clear but fill the rest of the area at least half full with the shapes.
3. Use a color and/or patterned paper that you typically would stay away from or have never used before (and tell us what it is).
I was originally going to use a moroccan shape (think, Mosaic Madness punch like Crooked Stamper used), but I decided to do another Valentine's Day page, so switched my shapes to hearts.
The paper I don't normally use is black paper--especially for the main background, so that's what I consider my "Stay Away from" paper in step #3.
Looking forward to seeing Trish's Task 2. She's busy moving, so hopefully she'll find a few minutes to post! Thanks, Trish!

Love it! Very fun. Love the heart shapes. I was wondering if anyone would try hearts and I am glad you did.
Hope you enjoy the look of the black once your page is finished.
Thanks for playing along!
